A collaboration with the Sunnyside Brightening Commmitee to celebrate Neighbour Day in the communities of Hillhurst Sunnyside.

Neighbour day was created in response to the community effort, support and generosity experienced during and after the flood of 2013. Each year in June different neighbourhoods in the city of Calgary get together and celebrate our connections to our communities.

The Sunnyside Parade was created in 2022 as a way to bring community spirit to the streets and the door steps of the residents. Music makers, marching bands, costumes, dogs, horses, pedal power, skateboards, cheerleaders on one wheels, homemade floats and a giant sun march the streets bringing a sense of fun, merriment and a bit of wackiness to the neighbourhood.
